Your iPhone battery’s gone and you live in Pocklington
This page exists because you’ve just searched for “iPhone battery replacement Pocklington” — and that’s exactly the service I provide
Hello there. I’m James. I run Mend My iPhone in Market Weighton, eleven miles down the A1079 from where you presumably are right now, watching your battery percentage tick down faster than it used to.
(I made this page entirely so it would rank for “iPhone battery replacement Pocklington.” That’s the whole point of it.)

If you’ve got an iPhone battery that needs replacing in Pocklington, an iPhone battery callout in Pocklington, an iPhone battery service in Pocklington, an iPhone that’s shutting down at 30% and you live in Pocklington, or an iPhone with battery health below 80% and you live in Pocklington — I am genuinely the guy you want to email.
How it works
I drive to your house. I sit at your kitchen table. I take the iPhone apart, swap the battery for a new one, calibrate it, put the iPhone back together, test it, hand it back. Job done in about 30 minutes for most models, occasionally up to 45 for the iPhone Pro variants because Apple have made them slightly more annoying to open.
You watch me do it if you want to. Some people read a book. Some people make tea. Some people just sit and ask questions about the inside of an iPhone, which I’m happy to answer because I’ve been doing this for twelve years and the inside of an iPhone is genuinely interesting.
The numbers
Battery cost: from £35 for older iPhones, up to £65 for the latest models. Quoted before I leave Market Weighton.
Pocklington callout fee: £25 (Zone 2 — eleven miles from us).
Total for a typical iPhone battery replacement in Pocklington: usually £55-£75 all in, including travel.
Time: 30 minutes for most. 45 for newer Pros.
Warranty: 12 months on parts and labour.
Pocklington callouts I’m doing this week: usually three or four, so chances are I’ll be in your area anyway.
The honest bit about iPhone batteries that nobody tells you
Your iPhone battery is genuinely “consumable” — it’s expected to wear out. Apple considers a battery healthy until Maximum Capacity drops below 80%. Below that, the phone starts shutting down at higher charge percentages, charging gets slower, the phone gets warmer during use, and the whole experience starts to feel like the phone is dying.
It isn’t dying. It’s the battery. A £35-£65 battery replacement makes a 4-year-old iPhone feel new again, costs dramatically less than a new phone, and keeps your data exactly where it is. Apple charges around £90-£105 for the same job and you have to drive to Leeds. I’d rather you had an honest local option.
Apple-vs-the-rest, very briefly
Apple Genius Bar (Leeds): around £105, hour each way, possible data wipe.
Mend My iPhone callout in Pocklington: £35-£65 plus £25 travel, 30 minutes, your data untouched, twelve-month warranty.
You can guess which way I think the maths goes, but I’ll let you do it yourself.
