Phone Network Unlock Service

Phone Network Unlock

Locked to a Network?
We’ll Set It Free.

Most phones bought new in the UK after December 2021 are factory-unlocked already (thanks Ofcom). But older handsets, ex-contract phones, and anything imported from the USA are often still locked to a single carrier — so the SIM you really want to use just won’t work. We unlock most makes from most networks remotely. Submit your details and we’ll quote within the hour.

First — Check It’s Actually Locked

You’d be surprised how often a phone people think is locked turns out to be already unlocked. A 30-second check now could save you a payment. Two ways:

📱 iPhone — Settings Check

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap General
  3. Tap About
  4. Scroll down to find Carrier Lock
✓ Says “No SIM restrictions”:
You’re already unlocked — pop in any UK SIM and away you go.
✗ Shows a network name (EE, O2, Vodafone, Three, etc.):
That’s the carrier you’re locked to. Submit a request below — we’ll quote.

🤖 Android — SIM Swap Test

  1. Power the phone off
  2. Pop out the SIM tray, replace your SIM with a different network’s SIM (a friend’s, a spare PAYG, anything)
  3. Power back on, wait for it to find signal
  4. Try to send a text or check signal bars
✓ Works normally:
You’re already unlocked — you’re sorted.
✗ Shows “SIM not supported”, “SIM locked”, or “Invalid SIM”:
The error message often names the locked carrier. Submit a request below.

Quick rule of thumb: if you bought your phone new from a UK retailer (Apple Store, Samsung, Currys, Carphone Warehouse, John Lewis) after December 2021, it’s almost certainly already unlocked — Ofcom rules require it. The phones we typically unlock are older ex-contract handsets, second-hand finds, and US imports.

How It Works

Quote-first model — you don’t pay until you’ve seen the price, and you don’t pay anything if your phone turns out to be already unlocked.

1

Submit Your Request

Fill in the form below — your contact details, make and model of phone, network it’s locked to (or “not sure”), and your IMEI. Takes about a minute.

2

We Quote

We check the unlock supplier database and email or text you a quote within an hour during working hours. Pricing varies by network/make/model — typically £15–£40. Some rare combinations cost more, and we’ll tell you straight away.

3

Pay → Phone Unlocks

If you’re happy with the quote, you pay via secure link, and we process the unlock. Most are completed within 24–48 hours — some in minutes. We’ll let you know the moment yours is done.

Why Pay Us Rather Than Your Network?

Your existing network can unlock your phone for free if you’re out of contract — but you’ll usually wait up to 10 working days, and they make you jump through hoops to get it done. Some carriers will refuse if you’ve still got an outstanding balance, even if you’ve finished the contract.

We turn most unlocks around in 24–48 hours, with no contract checks, no chasing, and no sitting on hold. For a phone you want unlocked this week rather than next month, the £15–£40 fee is usually money well spent. If we can’t do it, you don’t pay.

How to Find Your IMEI Number

Your IMEI is a unique 15-digit number that identifies your specific phone. Every phone has one — iPhone, Samsung, Pixel, anything. It looks like this:

357921 09 123456 7

The fastest way to find it is to open your phone dialer and type *#06# — your IMEI appears on screen instantly. Even if you can’t get past the SIM lock screen, the dialer is usually still accessible.

Show me other ways to find my IMEI

1. Dial *#06#

Open your phone’s dialer (the green phone icon), type *#06# and your IMEI appears immediately. This is the easiest method and works on virtually every phone, even when locked to a SIM you don’t have.

2. iPhone — in Settings

Go to Settings → General → About. Scroll down — your IMEI is listed alongside your serial number.

3. Android — in Settings

Go to Settings → About phone → Status (the path varies slightly between makers — Samsung, Google, Sony etc — but it’s always under “About phone”).

4. The back of your device

The IMEI and serial number are printed in tiny text on the back of older phones, usually near the bottom. On newer models the info has moved into the SIM tray or settings.

5. The original packaging

Your phone’s original box has the IMEI and serial number printed on the side label or on a sticker.

6. Your network carrier

Log into your account with EE, O2, Vodafone, Three or whoever — your device’s IMEI is usually listed in your account details.

7. Your sales receipt

If you bought the phone new on contract, the IMEI is often printed on the receipt or contract.

Common Questions

Will I lose my data?

No. A network unlock changes a single setting on the phone — it doesn’t touch your photos, contacts, apps or anything else. Your phone behaves exactly the same afterwards, just accepting any SIM.

Is this legal?

Yes. Network unlocking your own phone is completely legal in the UK. Carriers are legally required to unlock phones once you’ve completed your contract — we just do it faster, without you having to ring them and chase. We don’t unlock devices reported as stolen, and we reserve the right to refuse anything that looks suspicious.

How much does it cost?

Pricing varies by network, make and model. Most unlocks land in the £15–£40 range. A few rare combinations (older Sprint USA devices, certain locked Vodafone iPhones) cost more — we’ll always tell you the price before you commit. If we can’t unlock your phone, there’s no charge.

How long does it take?

Most unlocks complete within 24–48 hours of payment, but it varies by network. Some unlock in minutes via the supplier database; others sit in a queue with the carrier. We’ll give you an honest timescale with the quote — if it’s a slow one, you’ll know up front.

What if it doesn’t work?

If we can’t unlock your phone for any reason, you get a full refund — same day, no questions asked. The vast majority of phones unlock first time, but the small minority that don’t get refunded immediately.

What about iPhones bought in the UK after 2021?

Almost certainly already unlocked. UK Ofcom rules from December 2021 require that all new phones be sold unlocked. Use the iPhone Settings check at the top of this page to confirm — if it says “No SIM restrictions”, you’re already free.

Can you unlock my US phone (AT&T, T-Mobile USA, Verizon, Sprint)?

Most of the time, yes — but US carrier unlocks are typically more expensive and slower than UK ones. Some old Sprint devices in particular can be tricky. Submit your IMEI and we’ll tell you straight away whether it’s worth it.

Why isn’t there a fixed price?

Because honestly we’d be lying if we quoted one. Unlock prices vary day to day by network and supplier — an EE iPhone unlock might be £18 today and £22 next month. We’d rather quote you the real current price than promise a fixed fee and either lose money or charge you over the odds.

Do you do iCloud lock removal?

No — iCloud locks (Activation Lock) on iPhones are different from network locks and we don’t offer that service. The original iCloud account holder is the only legitimate way to remove that lock. If you’ve bought a second-hand iPhone that’s iCloud-locked, your only safe options are to contact the seller or return it.
