How long does an iPhone screen repair take in Market Weighton?
Most iPhone screen replacements are completed in about an hour when you book ahead. The actual repair takes 30–40 minutes, we allow an hour max to make sure eveything is perfect
Walk-ins are welcome too. If we have your model’s screen in stock (which we do for all common iPhones from iPhone SE through iPhone 15 Pro Max), we can almost always fix it the same day.
Do I need to book or can I just walk in?
Walk-ins are welcome. Booking ahead guarantees your time slot and the exact part for your model, and we strongly recommend it for the newer Pro and Pro Max models since stock moves quickly.
You can book online in under 60 seconds, pick a time, and the part will be out of the drawer and on the bench ready for you.
Can you really fix an iPhone screen in an hour?
Yes, when booked. The actual screen replacement takes 30–40 minutes and we use the remaining time to test everything. Market Weighton’s small enough that you can grab a coffee on the High Street, take a walk, or wait in comfort while we work — most people are surprised how quickly it’s done.
Parts & Warranty
What quality of screens do you use for iPhone repairs?
We use high-grade aftermarket screens — Incell for older LCD iPhones and Soft OLED for the newer OLED models — that we’ve tested to match Apple’s original quality for brightness, colour and touch responsiveness. These are the same tier of parts used by most reputable independent repair shops across the UK.
Genuine Apple “service parts” are available on request for some models but cost significantly more and take longer to source. We’ll always tell you which we’re fitting and why before we start.
What warranty do you offer on iPhone screen repairs?
Every iPhone screen we fit carries a 12-month warranty covering any fault with the screen itself — image issues, dead pixels, touch problems or ghost-touching. If something goes wrong in that window, bring it back and we’ll sort it.
The warranty doesn’t cover further physical damage — if you drop it again we’ll charge for a new screen, though we usually offer a loyalty rate for returning customers.
Will Face ID, True Tone and auto-brightness still work after the repair?
Yes. We use the calibration tools needed to preserve Face ID, auto-brightness and True Tone wherever the model allows it.
On some newer iPhones, Apple’s proprietary pairing process is required to remove a “non-genuine part” notice in Settings. That notice does not affect how the phone works — Face ID, brightness and True Tone all continue functioning normally. It’s an Apple marketing choice, not a hardware problem.
Price & Payment
How much does an iPhone screen repair cost?
The price depends on your model. Older iPhones like the SE, 8, X, XR and 11 series are the most affordable because the parts cost less. Newer iPhones — 13 Pro, 14 Pro, 15 Pro Max and similar — sit at the higher end because the screens themselves are expensive.
The price you see on our booking form is the price you pay. No hidden fees, no sudden add-ons, no “oh by the way” charges after the work’s done.
Do you charge for a diagnostic?
If your iPhone just has a cracked screen and everything else works, there’s no diagnostic — we quote the screen repair price straight away and get on with it.
If there’s also charging trouble, water damage or a more complex issue, a full diagnostic may be needed and we’ll agree that with you up front before we do anything. You’ll never be surprised by a bill.
Can I pay later or split the cost?
If you want to split the cost we offer Paypal and Stripe payments that alos offer Klarna so yes we can split payments over 3 months – just ask for payment link when you book.
Your Data & Privacy
Will I lose my photos or data during an iPhone screen repair?
No. A screen replacement doesn’t touch your internal storage. Photos, contacts, messages, apps, notes — all stay exactly where you left them.
That said, we always recommend backing up to iCloud or your computer before any phone repair. Belt and braces. If something unrelated were to happen, you’d want a backup you could restore from.
Do I have to give you my passcode?
Only if we need to test features that require unlocking the phone — Face ID, proximity sensor, front camera, auto-brightness. You’re welcome to stay while we test if you’d rather, or you can temporarily remove the passcode for the repair and reset it afterwards.
We treat every phone exactly the way we’d want our own treated. We’ve been doing this a long time; nothing surprises us and nothing leaves the shop.
